Terms of Use

Terms governing use of Developer Business Lab websites, digital products, guides, workbooks, templates, and related materials.

Effective date: October 2, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Developer Business Lab website and any digital products, guides, workbooks, templates, downloads, or other materials sold or provided through Developer Business Lab. By accessing the website, purchasing a product, or using our materials, you agree to these terms.

1. Digital products and delivery

Developer Business Lab sells and distributes digital educational products. Product descriptions, formats, included materials, and prices are shown on the relevant product or checkout page at the time of purchase.

Digital products are generally delivered electronically after payment is completed. If you experience a delivery, download, or file-access problem, use the Developer Business Lab Support Center to reach the appropriate support path.

2. License to use purchased materials

Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, each purchase licenses the product to one individual user. That user receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the material for personal or internal business purposes.

You may use the ideas, frameworks, worksheets, templates, and systems in your own business and client work where that is the intended purpose of the product. A single purchase does not authorize sharing the purchased files or materials with coworkers, employees, contractors, clients, or other members of a team. Using the material to perform client work does not authorize distribution of the original Developer Business Lab product files.

You may not resell, redistribute, publish, upload, sublicense, reproduce for distribution, or commercially package the original materials, in whole or in substantial part, as your own product or as a product for others. Team or multi-seat licensing is not currently offered unless a product page expressly states otherwise.

Purchase of a product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

3. Account and purchase information

You are responsible for providing accurate information when purchasing or requesting access to a product and for maintaining access to the email account or other delivery method associated with your purchase.

You may not use another person's payment information or otherwise make a purchase without authorization.

4. Pricing, taxes, and payment processing

Prices are displayed before purchase and may change for future purchases. A price change does not alter a completed transaction.

Payments may be processed by third-party commerce or payment providers. Applicable taxes, payment methods, currency conversion, and transaction processing may be handled by those providers according to the checkout terms shown at the time of purchase.

5. Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy. Our current policy provides a 14-day request window subject to the eligibility conditions and exclusions described there. Refund requests should be submitted through the Developer Business Lab Support Center.

6. Educational information, not professional advice

Developer Business Lab products are educational materials intended to help independent developers think through and implement business systems. They are not legal, tax, accounting, financial, employment, regulatory, or other licensed professional advice.

You are responsible for deciding whether a recommendation is appropriate for your circumstances and for obtaining qualified professional advice when needed.

7. No guarantee of results

Business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee clients, sales, revenue, profit, rankings, deliverability, business growth, employment, partnerships, or any other specific result from purchasing or using a Developer Business Lab product.

Examples, scenarios, calculations, frameworks, and case studies are provided to teach concepts and should not be interpreted as promises of future performance.

8. Your responsibility for implementation

You remain responsible for how you apply the materials, including your offers, pricing, marketing, outreach, sales practices, contracts, client work, data handling, and compliance obligations.

You agree not to use Developer Business Lab materials to violate applicable law, infringe the rights of others, misrepresent your services, send unlawful communications, or engage in deceptive or abusive business practices.

9. Intellectual property

The Developer Business Lab name, site content, product text, original frameworks, graphics, product designs, workbooks, templates, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Nothing in these terms grants permission to use Developer Business Lab branding, logos, trade dress, or product artwork in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation, resale authorization, or endorsement.

10. Third-party tools and services

Our materials may discuss or link to third-party platforms, software, services, APIs, marketplaces, payment processors, or other resources. Those services are operated independently and may change their pricing, policies, features, availability, or terms without notice.

Developer Business Lab is not responsible for the operation, availability, security, policies, or actions of third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

11. Product updates and availability

We may revise, improve, replace, rename, reprice, bundle, unbundle, or discontinue products and website content. Unless expressly promised on a product page at the time of purchase, a purchase does not include a guarantee of perpetual updates, future editions, consulting, technical support, or new materials.

We may correct errors in product descriptions, pricing, or website content. If an error materially affects a completed purchase, we will address it reasonably based on the circumstances.

12. Website availability

We aim to keep the website and purchase experience available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, hosting failures, third-party outages, security events, or other circumstances may temporarily affect access.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and digital products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties beyond any express commitments stated on the applicable product page or in these terms.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Developer Business Lab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or products, including lost profits, lost business opportunities, lost data, or business interruption.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for a claim relating to a purchased product will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to that claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business, products, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms or a Developer Business Lab purchase may be submitted through the Developer Business Lab Support Center.
